We are a small business that provides custom MS Access development solutions.
We believe it allows businesses to open new doors and create new solutions for their everyday problems.
My name is Natalie Rynda. I love MS Access, it’s been my passion for over 20 years. And I love creating custom apps and enjoy knowing that I made a difference in my clients’ lives, that I simplified their routines and saved them time.
The business is named after one my dogs, Kroka. He's on the right in the picture below. German shepherds, and all dogs, are another passion of mine.
I was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. I then moved to New York city, USA, where I’ve lived for over 30 years. I’m bilingual, my native language is Russian and I'm fluent in English.
I have a few developers working with me, but I oversee all projects to make sure they’re up to my high standards.
I first came across MS Access nearly 25 years ago. My father, who I once worked for, was using an MS Access application in his business, and a developer came in, every now and then, to make changes to it. Watching him work with the application piqued my interest and I quickly became obsessed with MS Access. It was mainly the ease of making changes and how, in front of my eyes, new features appeared.
MS Access (VBA) is a beautiful tool. It is so versatile and powerful and my obsession with it hasn't subsided one bit. Besides hundreds of business applications, I also created many impressive projects and automations using MS Access/VBA at my previous full time job of 13 years.
I'm now freelancing full time.
We are available pretty much around the clock. We have clients around the world, in different time zones, and you will usually get a reply within a few hours. This goes for application support as well: we work on almost all holidays and weekends.
Have a question about how we can help create data management solutions for your business? Get in touch and we'll be happy to help.
We have over 20 years of experience working with small businesses, just like yours. We create applications that are:
We make it a point to design our applications in a way that takes every little detail into consideration.
We spend time and effort on things like, hiding irrelevant buttons (irrelevant for current screen/task, not to clutter the application and not to confuse the user), making sure wherever possible to give you the option to both click and use keyboard keys, making sure the cursor automatically goes to the appropriate field, when a screen is opened, and a ton more little things which make working with the application much easier and enjoyable.
Clean data is very important, and our applications do everything possible to ensure this. The quality of your data will determine how useful your reports are, how much insight you can gather from analyzing them, and how easy it is to search and filter your database.
We add validation rules everywhere possible. While it can’t be eliminated (we can’t control spelling variations in free text fields), there is a way to minimize bad data in fields where we know the type of data to be expected.
For those types of fields, we either set them up as dropdowns (so the user must select a value, as opposed to being able to type his/her own), autofill them (for example, autofill city and state after the ZIP code is entered) or ensure that only certain values can be entered.
We also make sure that there are no unattached records, that bad records (missing critical fields) aren’t saved, and the user is given a prompt explaining what the problem is and is given a choice to fix the record or cancel.
We also have extensive experience working with bad data and writing automated solutions for cleaning it up.
Another very important part to building an application is the table structure. Various mistakes can be made which result in slower speed, dirty data, database size issues, feature limitations and not user-friendly applications. Making changes to these applications takes much longer than it should and, in some cases, some changes are possible at all without a full rewrite.
The tables in our applications are setup in perfect structure. That's important because the tables are the foundation of the application, which is just like the foundation of a house. If your foundation isn't up to par, the house you build on top of it will have multiple issues: some will come up right away, others down the road, when you want to make updates.
Same with applications. Properly built application starts with a proper foundation (table structure). This allows for clean data, tons of functionality, easy updates, and user-friendly, fast applications.
There are no cookie-cutter solutions here, each application we develop is built from scratch, specifically for your business. There’s also free, unlimited support to ensure that it continues to run smoothly well into the future.
And we are sure that you will enjoy working with us. We are good at what we do, quick to understand your business, patient with people who aren’t technical, and just are pleasant all around 😊
